Jack

So I haven’t had much to say for a while. This blog thing really isn’t for me. The magazine I have been working on with a lot of people ,"Jack", is finally published online. With the first issue out of the way, the second one should be much easier. 8 months of planning and development not to mention a considerable amount of money is what it took. January’s issue should be a lot of fun.

What The Hell

July 20th, 2005 by verbal

I’m sick of hearing people complain about how bad their life is and how things aren’t going their way. All I hear is people bitching about how a train was late, how bad their food was at a restaurant and how they aren’t paid enough at their jobs. My advice is deal with it! You only have to step outside of your little world to see that others are less fortunate than you and would give anything to be able to afford a train ride, eat any meal at a restaurant or even have a job. I suppose this post constitutes bitching, but I hope it is for the greater good.

Vacation!

July 1st, 2005 by verbal

So I’m going on vacation tomorrow. I’m going to Rome for 5 days, then Florence and then to Dublin for two days. I’m looking forward to the time off. I’ll try to post some pictures from my travels. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to go out who has been there?

Crash

June 24th, 2005 by verbal

So on Wednesday night I saw the movie Crash in the theatre with my cousin Gladys. It’s one of those movies where everyone is interconnected as a result of some event…as if you couldn’t guess, a car crash. I think it is a really powerful movie and makes you think a lot about many things…society, racism and prejudice, human relationships, and life in the city.

It’s not exactly an uplifting movie, so don’t see it if you aren’t up for a reflective afternoon or evening afterwards. After moving out of the sticks and walking the streets of the city, it’s amazing and sad at the same time how much the film reflects everyday life. This movie makes it’s point subtlely through the not so subtle actions and behaviors of its characters. Go see it while it is still in theatres. It will move you.

In my quest to become rich, I am setting up another web site about all things brewed. I’m looking for input, ideas or content. Thanks.
